I think Carkeek Park is one of Seattle's hidden gems. Of course, those who live in the Greenwood area are well acquainted with this special place, but the rest of us have a lot to gain by making a trip there. With lots of paths (and a playground!) to explore, and direct access to the beach and the Sound, it's hard to find a park with more to offer.

Discovery Park is quickly becoming one of my favorite locations. Whether you make it all the way out to the lighthouse or not, this is truly one of the most beautiful places in Seattle. With spacious lawns and lots of paths for adventuring, and amazing views of the Sound and the Cascades, the park has a lot to love.

What a fun day at Chihuly Garden and Glass with this sweet family! This was my first trip to the exhibits, and I'm already looking forward to going back. With so many beautiful colors and textures, it's hard to imagine a more beautiful place.

I don't know how last autumn passed without this day at the pumpkin patch making the blog! This was such a fun session, with all of the elements of fall -- pumpkins, a corn maze, cozy clothes, and tall boots for tromping cheerfully through the mud.

This family has established one of my very favorite traditions. Every spring since these cuties were born, we get together for a special pre-Mother's Day shoot. Their grandmas get the sweetest albums as gifts on Mother's Day -- I've heard there are tears (of joy!) every year!

Meet one of my favorite families! That is, if you haven’t already gotten to know them pretty well on the blog already.  :)  Miss B’s momma and I have known each other since we were just older than she is now. This shoot was extra special, because Miss B brought along her grandma and great-grandma, too!

This girl and her papa. We had so much fun playing in the cherry blossoms this spring! My favorite thing about these photos is that they truly capture the special bond these two share. The joy and love that infuses their every moment together.
